Access panel for laundry room drain cleanout?
Laundry room remodel—need easy access to the drain cleanout pipe behind the wall without ripping out cabinets every time there's a clog. Looking for a panel that's moisture-resistant and doesn't look out of place next to the washer/dryer. Any that hold up well in that environment?

Laundry areas get humid and occasional splashes, so thin panels warp fast. I always pick thicker plastic ones with good edge reinforcement—they stay flat and don't let moisture seep behind. The model I used has a simple twist-lock latch that's easy to open one-handed when you're dealing with a backup. After painting it white to match the trim it blends right in and hasn't shown any mildew after two years. I installed a really durable access panel sized 12×18 and it's been perfect for reaching the cleanout snake. Just add a bead of silicone around the frame during install to keep water out.
