Social ballroom dancing, with its emphasis on having fun and socializing, is enjoyed widely at social dances or special events like weddings. It is a good source of exercise and connecting.

-
Foxtrot - Step into any jazz club on a Friday night, and you’re bound to hear a Foxtrot. It’s America’s favorite dance! Foxtrot has become a dance of social elegance, characterized by smooth, graceful and gliding movements and enjoyed by people of all ages. This 4/4 time signature dance comes fast or slow.
-
Waltz music has a 3/4 time signature. The classic Box is the basic step. Most genres of music can be played in waltz timing such as the Polka Waltz & Argentine Tango Vals. There are slow and fast tempos such as the Viennese Waltz.
-
Quickstep - Similar to Foxtrot, Quickstep is an international style ballroom dance that follows a 2/4 or 4/4 time beat. This dance is characterized by its dynamic and lively movements on the dance floor, including hops, runs, quick steps and rotations.
-
Ballroom Style Tango has a march like beat with dramatic styling specific to the Ballroom music.
